On July 18, 2018, the world's largest programmable chip (FPGA) manufacturer, Xilinx, announced the acquisition of China's star startup company in the AI chip field, Deep Mirror Technology. The AI chip startup known as "China Nvidia" will continue to operate in its Beijing office. The transaction amount and details have not been disclosed yet.

On October 27, 2020, AMD agreed to acquire Xilinx (Xilinx) in the form of a stock transaction for a value of $35 billion. AMD expects the transaction to be completed by the end of 2021.
